Great Reviews Earn Cape Cod’s Oldest Non-Profit a Place Among Travelers’ Favorite Attractions
PROVINCETOWN, Mass. – August 22, 2023 – The Cape Cod Pilgrim Memorial Association, conducting business as the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum (PMPM), today announced it has been recognized by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travelers’ Choice Awards winner, placing PMPM among the top 10% of all Tripadvisor listings globally.
PMPM is Cape Cod’s oldest non-profit organization and pursues a mission of TRUTH: Tolerance | Respect | Unity | Trust | Her-His-Their-story. Constructed from 1907 to 1910, the Pilgrim Monument was built to commemorate the Mayflower Pilgrims’ first landing in the new world in 1620 and the signing of the historic Mayflower Compact in Provincetown Harbor.
“Congratulations to the 2023 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice winners,” said John Boris, chief growth officer at Tripadvisor. “The travel resurgence we’ve seen throughout the past year has even further heightened the competition. Earning a Travelers’ Choice Award demonstrates that organizations have provided great experiences to those who matter most: their guests. With changing expectations, continued labor shortages, and rising costs, this is no easy feat, and I am continually impressed with the hospitality industry’s resilience and ability to adapt. Cheers to another successful year!”
Each year, the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards recognize travelers’ favorite attractions around the world. Winners are determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period. Eligible organizations must have been listed for at least one year, must receive a threshold number of reviews within the evaluation period and maintain or exceed a minimum bubble rating on Tripadvisor.
“This prodigious recognition is due to the incredible support of our visitors and members, of whom we could not be more appreciative,” said K. David Weidner, Ph.D., executive director of Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum. “This award also demonstrates the ongoing dedication of the PMPM team to furthering our mission of TRUTH and ensuring that each and every visitor of the Pilgrim Monument has the most enriching experience possible.
