Twenty Summers Presents: What the Eye Hears: A Concert of Music about Art

The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum is pleased to welcome Twenty Summers On The Hill for a special evening of music, literature, and visual art-inspired performance in PMPM’s East Gallery.

What the Eye Hears: A Concert of Music about Art brings together acclaimed musicians and writers for an evening exploring the creative dialogue between art forms — from painting and poetry to classical music and contemporary literature. Inspired in part by Provincetown’s rich artistic legacy, the program features music by composers including J.S. Bach, Aaron Copland, John Cage, and William Grant Still alongside readings from celebrated writers such as Frank O’Hara, Langston Hughes, Kiran Desai, and Provincetown artist Charles Hawthorne.

The evening will feature performances by violinist Katherine Winterstein and pianist Aimee Tsuchiya,

along with readings by award-winning novelists M. T. Anderson and Julia Glass.
