Members of the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum (PMPM) and/or the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) are invited to submit their work for the 2023 Juried Art Exhibition, which will be on view at the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum during the 2023 season. Curated by Sarah Johnson, Ph.D., Executive Director and Curator of The Cahoon Museum of American Art, the exhibition will open with a reception on PMPM’s opening day: Saturday, April 1, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., 1 High Pole Road, Provincetown.
Members of PMPM or PAAM will enjoy free admission to either institution in 2023; please check individual websites for hours (www.pilgrim-monument.org, www.paam.org). Joint admission passes will be made available to the general public for $30.
Artists wishing to participate may drop off their works on Tuesday, March 7, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum (1 High Pole Hill Road, Provincetown). PMPM cannot accommodate early drop-offs. Works may not be dropped off at PAAM.
Results will be announced by email no later than Thursday, March 9. Unselected works must be picked up on Thursday, March 9 or Friday, March 10, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Pick-up of selected works will take place after the conclusion of PMPM’s season and be coordinated with the artists by PMPM staff.
There are no size restrictions for this exhibition and no theme. Artwork must be dry and equipped with a hanging device upon arrival. There is no cost to submit, but membership to either PMPM or PAAM must be valid through November 2023. Anyone can join or renew at either www.pilgrim-monument.org/become-a-member or www.paam.org/members, or when dropping off their work. Membership lists will be updated the morning of drop-off, so if you need to renew on that day, it’s typically best for you to take care of that at drop-off instead of online.
Members submitting to this exhibition agree to PAAM Member Exhibition Policies. Members may fill out an Artwork Receipt online before submitting their works.
Members not able to bring their pieces to PMPM may ship them and should include a completed Artwork Receipt. Please ship to:

Hello, I just want to be sure there is not specific theme for this show. My work is based on sea life and I think relevant to Provincetown as a seaside community.
Hello Carole: Yes, you are correct: There is no specific theme for this year’s show.
