Grounds Rental

Pilgrim Monument
and Provincetown
Museum

The grounds of the historic Pilgrim Monument Provincetown Museum, with incredible views of Provincetown and the harbor, are available to rent from May through October for formal outdoor weddings, private functions, corporate affairs and casual fundraising events.

The East and the West lawns are perfect for special occasions of all sizes; both settings are spectacular.  The East side is a fairly secluded area featuring beautiful landscaping.  Tents accommodating 100 persons or fewer for a seated dinner can fit into this area.  The West side is larger and more open than the East side and can accommodate larger tents.

Rental Information

Daytime Events (9am- 5pm)The base fee for functions (wedding receptions, fundraisers. private parties, etc.) lasting three hours and occurring between the hours of 9am and 5pm ranges from $500 to $2,000 depending on the number of guests. If your event is to last longer than three hours, the fee for each additional hour is $150.

Evening Events (4pm –11pm) – Evening rental fees are determined on a case-by-case basis, starting at $2,500 for three hours, for either the East side or the West side. The fee for additional hours is $150 per hour. All evening events must end by 11pm.

Abbreviated Events – Functions consisting of 25 or fewer guests, with no tent or entertainment, and lasting no longer than 2 hours will be charged a $250 fee.  Abbreviated events must take place on the East lawn and conclude by 5pm.

Note:  Museum galleries are available to rent, on a case by case basis, for meetings or receptions.  The galleries are generally not available during the summer season.

Renter’s Responsibility

The renter is responsible for engaging a caterer; renting a tent; getting liability insurance; and securing licenses and permits (building and entertainment) as needed.  PMPM recommends that renters consider using full service caterers and/or party planners who can take care of many of the above tasks. PMPM has a list of caterers that are familiar with the grounds. PMPM reserves the right to approve all caterers.

Next Steps - Complete the form below and click the submit button.  You will receive a call or email from a PMPM representative who can answer any questions you might have, set up a meeting to see the grounds, discuss logistics and determine a final fee. We are eager to help you plan a wonderful occasion.
