The Monument and Museum opened for the season on April 1st and we are excited to present our new special exhibition highlighting the country’s first art colony: “The Great Provincetown Summer – 1916” will present objects, art and narrative about a remarkable period when art and cultural luminaries converged in Provincetown and provided the foundation for our rich cultural heritage.

Standing at 252 feet, the Monument commemorates the history of the Mayflower Pilgrims. It’s the tallest all-granite structure in the United States.
